TANGO Lessons
Monday's class is held upstairs in our wonderful Wintergarden Room, catering to dancers in the heart of Melbourne.
The $5 introductory class is from 6:00pm (free if you attend another class)
- Tango 1 (beginner): 6 - 7pm - Easy, 4 week cycle with a clear introduction to a fantastic dance!
- FREE Practice: 7 - 7.30pm - Never done Tango? This is the perfect class for you!
- Tango 2 (beyond beginner): 7.30 - 8.30pm - A fun class that builds confidence on the social floor. Focuses on the tango embrace, the music and the connection that allows you to communicate without words.
- Tango 3
(intermediate): 8.30 - 9.30pm - Designed to improve technique and balance.
Costs
$20 for one casual class
$75 for a five class pass
$130 for a ten class pass

Welcome to Swing Patrol Melbourne CBD. We’re a super fun bunch of dancers from all walks of life who come together every Tuesday night in the very central city location at the Exford Hotel.

Level 1(total Beginners): 6 – 7pm
This is the class for you if you're new to Swing or working on the basics. It's all about having fun, getting used to the steps, meeting new people and seeing what makes Swing such a fun social dance. No partner required, as we rotate partners throughout the class. We start from scratch every week, so drop in any time!

No pre-bookings, simply come along and pay at the door.
On the last Sunday of each month, different teachers will be nerding out over a particular topic. As this is a nerd-out session, don’t expect copious amounts of moves. We’re going to be exploring a single concept and really digging deep into how that affects our dance (eg – How exactly do I step tap? How can my body move within that step tap? How do I communicate that with my partner?).
Some months, you’ll need to have quite a bit of blues experience (or a LOT of swing dance experience) to join this class. Other months, not so much. Keep an eye on the Facebook page and, if in doubt, check with the teachers, Vanessa or Kara.
5pm - Nerd Out (experience necessary)
6pm - Moves and Grooves (all welcome no experience necessary)
7pm - free social dancing.
